Hang Seng closes higher by midday

Hong Kong stocks ended the morning session 0.50 percent higher Tuesday following a second successive rise on Wall Street while investors await the release of Chinese economic growth data later in the week.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 115.57 points to 23,462.24 by the break on turnover of HK$26.75 billion. --AFP
