Global Times slams veteran democrats
(07-15 12:00)

A state-run newspaper has criticized veteran democrat Martin Lee Chu-ming, and former Chief Secretary Anson Chan Fong On-sang, for "begging foreign players to intervene in China's internal affairs".
The two are currently visiting the UK to lobby support for meaningful democratic reform in Hong Kong.
But the Global Times quotes a number of pro-establishment figures in Hong Kong as calling their visit "ugly".
The newspaper described it as a "slave mentality to say Britain is morally responsible for Hong Kong's political reform". --RTHK
