HK feels shake as quake hits Heyuan

The Observatory received over 10 locally felt reports of minor shaking, after a 4.2-magnitude earthquake hit Heyuan City in Guangdong Province today.
The duration of shaking felt in Hong Kong was a few seconds. The weathermen estimated that the shake had an intensity of III on the modified Mercalli Intensity Scale, that is felt indoors with vibration like passing of light trucks.
Heyuan is about 180 kilometers north of Hong Kong.
