Development minister to meet villagers in Fanling
(06-25 11:28)

The Development Secretary, Paul Chan Mo-po, will meet villagers affected by the proposed Northeast New Territories Development project today in Fanling.
Chan said he would listen to villagers' views on the project, and consider their requests.
But he acknowledged that the two sides were unlikely to agree on the villagers' main request - the complete withdrawal of the plan.
Thousands of villagers and activists have rallied outside Legco over the past month to express their strong opposition to the proposal. --RTHK
