Amazon unveils 'Fire' smartphone
(06-19 12:54)

Amazon is taking the smartphone battle to market leaders Samsung Electronics and Apple.
The online retail giant's chief executive, Jeff Bezos, unveiled a "Fire" smartphone on Wednesday with free, unlimited photo storage.
In a rare media appearance, Mr Bezos touted features that Amazon hopes might help the 4.7-inch device stand out from the pack, including an option that helps users easily buy products and TV shows that the phone recognizes.
The smartphone comes equipped with a 3D-capable screen, which is intended to differentiate the latest entrant to the crowded mobile device market. --RTHK
