London's tower evacuated after reports of smoke
(06-05 18:43)

The Shard in London, western Europe's tallest building, was evacuated Thursday as firefighters investigated reports of smoke at the glass-clad tower.
The London Fire Brigade said firefighters were investigating claims of smoke in the basement of the building that dominates the London skyline.
However, they said in a statement there were no immediate signs of fire.
"As a precaution the building is being evacuated,'' LFB said in a statement.
Scores of workers left the 310-metre building following the order to evacuate.
