Nikkei near two-month high

Tokyo stocks rose 0.23 percent on Tuesday to their highest close in nearly two months, as the yen boosted exporters in thin trading.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index added 34.00 points to finish at 14,636.52, while the Topix index of all first-section shares was flat, gaining 0.04 percent, or 0.42 points, to 1,195.11. --AFP
