Belgium PM steps down after elections

Belgium's Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo on Monday handed in his government's resignation to King Philip following the country's general election this weekend, the palace said in a statement.
"The king accepted the resignation and asked the government to continue in a caretaker capacity,'' the statement added. --AFP
