Hang Seng up at mid-day

Hong Kong shares climbed 0.74 percent in the morning session Thursday following data pointing to a sharp improvement in China's manufacturing activity in May.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 168.75 points to 23,005.27 by the break on turnover of HK$33.89 billion. --AFP
