Landfill funding to go for final approval in Legco
(05-21 12:12)

Funding for a proposed extension of the Tseung Kwan O landfill has been given initial endorsement by lawmakers, despite opposition from Tseung Kwan O residents.
The public works subcommittee endorsed the funding request by 16 to nine. It followed attempts by Neo-democrat and People Power legislators to delay a vote by moving more than 20 motions.
The funding request will now go to the finance committee for final approval. --RTHK
