Time limit set for budget debate
(05-21 12:11)

The President of the Legislative Council, Jasper Tsang Yok-sing, has set a time limit on the ongoing budget debate, which he hopes can be completed by June 4.
Lawmakers have already spent 70 hours discussing the more than 1,000 amendments introduced by radical members to filibuster the budget bill.
Tsang said voting on individual amendments should start by the evening of May 23. He said the arrangement should allow lawmakers adequate time to air their views. --RTHK
