European stocks open flat

Europe's main stock markets steadied at the start of trading on Thursday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index adding just 0.01 percent to 6,879.44 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 eased 0.13 percent lower to 9,741.25 and the Paris CAC 40 dropped just 0.05 percent to stand at 4,498.66 points, compared with the previous day's closing levels.
European equities had ended mixed on Wednesday as investors digested downbeat industrial production data in the eurozone, dealers said. --AFP
