Woman dead after knocked down by minivan in Tai Po

A 61-year-old woman died after being knocked down by a light goods vehicle in Tai Po this afternoon.
The minivan was driven by a 28-year-old man, traveling along Tai Po towards Shatin at around 2pm. The vehicle reported hit the woman, trapping her below.
She was rushed to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in unconscious state where she was certified dead before 3pm.
The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is being detained for investigation.
