Nikkei ends lower

Tokyo stocks closed down 0.14 percent Wednesday on profit-taking after surging the previous day.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index, which climbed 1.95 percent Tuesday, slipped 19.68 points to 14,405.76, while the Topix index of all first-section shares was up 0.41 percent, or 4.80 points, at 1,183.15. --AFP
