Filibuster delays tips funding request
(05-07 13:04)

The government's plans to expand the Tseung Kwan O landfill and build a massive incinerator in Shek Kwu Chau have been held up by a filibuster.
The action by several lawmakers prevented the HK$20 billion funding request for the plans from being put to a vote in the Legislative Council's Public Works Subcommittee. It will meet again next Tuesday to discuss the matter. --RTHK
