European markets open flat

Europe's main stock markets steadied at the open on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.08 percent to 6, 687.18 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 edged up 0.02 percent to 9,602.12 points and in Paris the CAC 40 dipped 0.09 percent to stand at 4,480.17 compared with the previous day's close. --AFP
