Nikkei rises by break

Tokyo stocks rose 0.57 percent on Wednesday morning, with sentiment buoyed by another day of gains on Wall Street.
The Nikkei 225 index added 81.77 points to 14,470.54 by the break, while the Topix index of all first-section issues was up 0.49 percent, or 5.74 points, at 1,168.24. --AFP
