Nikkei up at mid-day

Tokyo stocks rose 0.82 percent Tuesday morning after a rally on Wall Street and as the yen weakened against the dollar in response to upbeat US economic data.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index added 114.55 points to 14,024.71 by the break, while the Topix index of all first-section shares climbed 0.41 percent, or 4.62 points, to 1,137.38. --AFP
