Malaysia’s Sabah red flag for China tourists

China's consulate on Borneo island advised its nationals today to “pay attention to personal safety'' when travelling to Sabah and to avoid ''remote islands.''
The warning came following the abduction of a Shanghai woman by gunmen who raided the Singamata Reef Resort (Pictured) in Malaysia.
The US State Department advises its citizens not to travel to eastern Sabah because of the risk of kidnap.—AFP/AP
