People Power submit 260 amendments to filibuster budget debate

The People Power group says it's planning to filibuster next week's debate on the budget in the Legislative Council.
Speaking after submitting more than 260 proposed amendments to the budget, lawmaker Albert Chan Wai-yip, said they're taking the action because the Financial Secretary had ignored their demands for a HK$10,000 handout to every Hong Kong resident.
Chan said tax rebates and rates exemptions given out over the past few years had only benefited the rich, and property developers. --RTHK
