Caution prevails over rental restrictions

Housing Secretary, Anthony Cheung says the government will not act hastily over increasing calls for the re-introduction of rent controls.
He said the administration remains worried that doing so may push up rent levels, and reduce supply.
Officials are studying the overseas experience of the practice and will report to Legco later.—RTHK
