Schizophrenic killer committed to mental health center
(04-03 14:06)

The High Court has sent a schizophrenic woman who killed her husband to the Siu Lam Psychiatric Centre for an indefinite period.
Fang Yuhua, aged 50, stabbed her husband, who was aged 84, and suffocated him with a pillow at home in November 2012.
She had pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
The court was told that Ms Fang, a mainlander, married the man in 2004, thinking he was a rich man. She arrived in Hong Kong five years later on a one-way permit, and the two lived in a public housing estate in Tze Wan Shan.
The defendant later developed delusions and thought her husband was the devil, and that he had taken photos of her in the shower and distributed them to her colleagues. --RTHK
