2 meter waves off Chilean coast

An 8.2-magnitude earthquake that struck off Chile's Pacific coast generated waves of up to 2.11 meters, US officials said.
Chile, Ecuador and Peru all issued tsunami alerts after the quake, as did the Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, which said large waves had been triggered off Chile's coast.—AFP
