Nikkei slips

Stocks in Tokyo edged 0.28 percent lower. The benchmark Nikkei-225 index fell 42.16 points to 14,785.67 by the break, while the Topix index of all first-section shares eased 0.29 percent, or 3.51 points, to 1,199.38.—AFP
