8 arrested over online scam
(03-27 11:02)

Police arrested two men and six women, aged 16-33, who have been allegedly involved in online fraud for HK$140,000. The arrestees are said to sell bakery coupons and other items, such as concert tickets on various online forums targeting mothers.
At least 50 people fell victims, police said.
The arrestees claimed to sell the items with prices lower than market prices. But they disappeared from the forums and failed to deliver the items after getting paid.
