US landslide toll climbs to 24

Emergency workers have recovered two more bodies after a US landslide and located another eight corpses in the debris, officials said, bringing the confirmed death toll to 24. Snohomish County fire district officials said there were no signs of life, three days after the massive mudslide in the northwestern US state of Washington.—AFP
