Hang Seng, Shanghai positive

Stocks in Hong Kong climbed 0.76 percent in the opening exchanges after Wall Street provided a positive lead to cap off two straight losses. The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 165.75 points to 21,898.07.
In Shanghai, shares were up slightly in morning trading. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.22 percent, or 4.54 points, to 2,071.85.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.20 percent, or 2.17 points, to 1,085.48.—AFP
