HK$1m bail extended for housewife in maid abuse case

A Hong Kong housewife has made another appearance in Kwun Tong court charged in connection with the alleged abuse of three Indonesian domestic helpers.
The helpers include Erwiana Sulistyaningsih who had returned home for medical treatment to her wounds.
The magistrate, Ernest Lin adjourned the case until April 29 after the prosecutor asked for more time, saying it was still awaiting a medical report and a full pathologist report from the Indonesian authorities.
The defendant, Law Wan-tung had her bail of HK$1 million dollars extended until her next appearance. –RTHK
