Hang Seng directionless, Shanghai climbs

Stocks in Hong Kong opened flat following a strong lead from Wall Street. The benchmark Hang Seng Index edged up 2.13 points to 21,476.08.
In Shanghai, shares were slightly higher in morning trade.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.07 percent, or 1.45 points, to 2,025.12.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 0.34 percent, or 3.68 points, to 1,100.04.—AFP
