(Flight MH370) Indian airforce ready for search
(03-12 20:22)

India's airforce is on standby to join the search for the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 that disappeared five days ago, a spokesman says.
Indian Air Force spokesman Gerard Galway told AFP: “We have not received any task [as of now] but in case there is a requirement, our aircraft will be deployed to assist in the search operations.’’
President Pranab Mukherjee said India is ready to offer any assistance.
A foreign ministry spokesman said Malaysia had accepted India's offer of assistance. Details are being worked out.
Mukherjee's office said the president had spoken with Malaysia's king.
There were five Indians on board the flight.--AFP
