European benchmarks slide

London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.60 percent at 6,645.74 points. Frankfurt's DAX 30 reversed 0.54 percent to 9,257.13 points and in Paris the CAC 40 shed 0.62 percent to 4,322.77 compared with Tuesday's closing values.—AFP
