Yunnan vice governor Shen Peiping sacked

The vice governor of southwestern Yunnan Province Shen Peiping, known for his efforts to promote tea and his heavy handed ways, has been removed from his post for suspected severe violations of discipline, authorities said today.
Authorities are handling his case according to procedures, said a statement by the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.—Xinhua/The Standard
