Hang Seng in negative mode, Shanghai directionless

Stocks in Hong Kong dipped 0.14 percent, extending the previous day's losses, following a negative lead from Wall Street. The benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 30.32 points to 22,234.61.
Stocks in Shanghai, were flat in morning trade. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.02 percent, or 0.36 points, to 1,998.71.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged up 0.09 percent, or 0.98 points, to 1,065.04.—AFP
