US puts Russia military ties on hold
(03-04 09:51)

The United States is suspending military cooperation with Russia because of its actions in Ukraine, the Pentagon said in a statement Monday, urging Moscow to “de-escalate the crisis.''
“We have, in light of recent events in Ukraine, put on hold all military-to-military engagements between the United States and Russia,'' Defense Department spokesman John Kirby said, calling for “Russian forces in Crimea to return to their bases, as required under the agreements governing the Russia Black Sea Fleet.''—AFP
