China Unicom profits rise by 47pc

China Unicom (0762) reported a profit of 10.408 billion yuan for the year ended December 31, 2013, up 46.7 percent from 2012. Earnings per share jumped to 44 fen.
Revenue grew 18.5 percent to 295.04 billion yuan.
EBIDTA was up 15.6 percent to 83.96 billion yuan.
A final dividend of 16 fen was declared.
