Europe equities hold steady

Europe's main stock markets held steady at the start of trading. London's FTSE 100 index was down by 0.05 percent at 6,795.71 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.01 percent to 9,660.55 points, while in Paris the CAC 40 added 0.06 percent to 4,399.67 compared with Wednesday's closing level.—AFP
