(2014-15 Budget) 150 residential sites spotted to boost supply

The government has identified 150 sites for residential use, hoping to provide 210,000 public and private flats over the next five years, said Financial Secretary John Tsang Chun-wah. Thirty-four residential sites -- 24 are new ones -- providing about 15,500 will be put into the 2014-15 Land Sale Program.
Secretary for Development Paul Chan Mo-po will reveal further details tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Tsang has allocated HK$650 million for the next five years to various government departments to enhance land development efforts. This will create 229 jobs.
