(Ukraine uprising) Putin keeps distance
(02-19 18:49)

Russian President Vladimir Putin does not advise his Ukrainian counterpart Viktor Yanukovych on the political crisis in Kiev, Putin's spokesman said after the two leaders spoke on the phone.
“There was a telephone conversation last night,'' spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian agencies. “Russia's president never has and does not give advice to his Ukrainian colleague about what to do, and how... and does not plan to give such advice in the future.''—AFP
