(Sochi Games) Boarder Vaultier rides to gold
(02-18 16:02)

Frenchman Pierre Vaultier emerged from the fog, rain and carnage to win a thrilling men's snowboard cross race at the Winter Olympics today in Russia.
The 26-year-old came into the competition, which was delayed a day due to heavy fog on Monday, as the sixth-ranked boarder in the world.
But as many of the other favorites fell by the wayside, Vaultier held off the surprise package Russian Nikolay Olyunin to take gold.
