Tokyo lower at break

Stocks in Tokyo were down 0.98 percent as a stronger yen hit exporter shares, and after Wall Street snapped a four-day winning streak.
The benchmark Nikkei-225 index lost 145.14 points to 14,654.92 by the break, while the Topix index of all first-section shares was off 0.89 percent, or 10.82 points, to 1,208.78.—AFP
