Hang Seng gains continue, Shanghai lower

Stocks in Hong Kong edged up slightly in opening trade following a mixed lead from Wall Street and with profit-taking capping bigger gains.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index was up by 11.91 points to 22,297.7.
In Shanghai, shares were lower.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.36 percent, or 7.58 points, to 2,102.38.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, shed 0.25 percent, or 2.86 points, to 1,136.18.—AFP
