European markets open lower

Europe's main stock markets dropped at the open on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.24 percent to 6,433.63 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 fell 0.25 percent to 9,105.28 points and in Paris the CAC 40 index slipped 0.16 percent to stand at 4,110.78 compared with Tuesday's closing levels. --AFP
