Doubts over opposition to RTHK funding
(01-28 12:40)

The government says it doesn't understand the logic of lawmakers who opposed its funding request for a new RTHK headquarters.
The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Greg So Kam-leung, told a Legco panel meeting that members had supported the future development of the station, but were now blocking funding for its new headquarters.
The government has lowered the proposed cost of the project from HK$6.1 billion to HK$5.3 billion. RTHK management has said this figure could be reduced by a further 12 percent. --RTHK
