Cost cut in new RTHK headquarters
(01-22 18:31)

The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Greg So Kam-leung, says RTHK will cut the cost of its proposed new headquarters in Tseung Kwan O by more than HK$720 million.
Legco's Public Works Sub-committee turned down a HK$6.1 billion funding request earlier this month because of the project's high cost.
So said he hopes legislators will approve the funding request when it's submitted again because another delay would mean going through a new tendering process, which would push the cost up even further. --RTHK
