Hang Seng drops, Shanghai flat

Hong Kong shares fell 0.34 percent in opening tradefollowing a mixed lead from Wall Street. The benchmark Hang Seng Index slipped 78.35 points to 22,954.77 at the start of the session.
In Shanghai shares were flat. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.05 percent, or 1.09 points, to 2,009.40.—AFP
