Lavrov frowns on UN rejection of of Iran at Syria talks

Russia said that an unprecedented decision by the United Nations to bar Iran from taking part in this week's Syria peace conference was a “mistake'' but would not lead to a “disaster.’’
“Of course this is a mistake,'' Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov saidn in Moscow. “But no disaster has happened,'' he said, downplaying the conference in the Swiss town of Montreux on Wednesday as a “one-day event.''--AFP
