Lawmakers absent for housing meeting
(01-21 13:04)

A special meeting of Legco's housing panel has been cancelled after not enough members showed up to form a quorum.
The meeting was convened to question the Secretary for Housing, Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, about the initiatives contained in the Chief Executive's policy address, RTHK reports.
However, by 8:45am -- 15 minutes after the scheduled start -- only four legislators were present, short of the eight required for a quorum.
The panel's chairman, Wong Kwok-hing, expressed regret and said absent members had neglected their duty.
The meeting will be rescheduled.
