Ralph Lauren’s niece admits drunken, expletive-laden tirade against stewardesses on NY flight
(01-09 09:18)

The niece of American fashion designer Ralph Lauren has been fined euros for an air rage incident on a New York-bound plane that forced it to land in Ireland.
Jewelry designer Jenny Lauren, 41, pleaded guilty Wednesday to breaching the peace and being drunk on the Delta Air Lines flight from Barcelona, Spain to New York. The crew made an unscheduled two-hour stop in western Ireland to remove her from the plane.
Lauren abused three airline staff including two flight attendants whom she each labelled f***ing ugly blonde b***h, according to travel website eTN Global Travel Industry News.
When air hostess Constance Topping interacted with Lauren, she was told to "get the f**k out of her face,’’ Inspector Tom Kennedy told Ennis district court, the website reported.
Lauren then left her seat, following Topping at speed up the aisle.
There she pushed the flight attendant against the wall calling her a “f*****g ugly blonde bitch."
A second flight attendant, Jennifer Simpson, was also abused. Lauren called her "a f*****g ugly, unhappy blonde bitch."
A second pilot who was resting also approached Lauren but was told "You're an a**hole.''
Lauren pleaded guilty to two charges during the air rage incident when she was drunk and disorderly.
The court heard that the total cost of the incident came to €30,208 euros including €12,676 for discommoding passengers.
Lauren's attorney Sharon Curley told an Irish court that she was embarrassed by her actions, which were caused by a reaction to alcohol mixed with medication. The attorney added Lauren suffers from depression.
Garda Inspector Tom Kennedy told the court that Lauren ranted, shouted incoherently and shoved a stewardess, who hit her back against a wall.—AP/The Standard
