Casino operator SJM offers 5pc salary raise, subsidies and continues reward for zero sick leave

Macau casino operator Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, (0880) said it will grant a 5 percent salary increase to all staff from this month. The company also announced a living subsidy and rewards system for this year.
Employees with a monthly salary of 17,000 pataca (HK$16,504) or below will receive 175 percent of a month’s salary as a living subsidy. Other employees will receive 125 percent of a month’s salary which will not be less than 29,750 pataca.
Employees who have a track record of not taking sick leave will continue to be rewarded in 2014.
Louis Ng, SJM’s director and chief operating officer said the salary increase along with the living subsidy and the rewards system, are meant to express the company’s gratitude to employees.
