Tokyo in negative mode

Stocks in Tokyo opened 0.89 percent lower after a fall on Wall Street and as speculation swirls that the US Federal Reserve could start to scale back stimulus next week.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was down 137.74 points to 15,377.32 at the start.
US stocks tumbled Wednesday in a decline that analysts attributed to profit-taking after the equity market surge of 2013.—AFP
